Blood Clean Up is a Biohazard

When there is a crime scene or an accident often there are associated fluids that need to be cleaned away. Blood, like other bodily fluids, is a biohazard. As such there are special procedures that need to be followed when doing blood clean up. The clean up must be done according to a federal regulation. Only those who are formally trained in blood borne pathogens can perform these services. Additionally, the company that performs the services must adhere to other guidelines including having the proper methods to remove, store and dispose of biohazardous waste products. Only companies that meet these requirements will be able to get a waste practitioner license. Neither you nor your employees are allowed by law to engage in blood clean up.
